Polycrystalline cubic Boron Nitride (PCBN)

PCBN（Polycrystalline cubic Boron Nitride）is made of CBN powder and a small amount of binder phase (Co, Ni or TiC, TiN) under high temperature and high pressure sintering, its hardness is uniform, non-directional, hardness after synthetic diamond, and has a very high thermal stability and chemical. Most PCBN materials are bonded to the cemented carbide substrate. Polycrystalline cubic boron nitride composites are extremely resistant to deformation and high temperature wear resistance, which is one order of magnitude higher than that of similar ceramic materials.CBN single crystal size is generally about 0.5mm below the maximum of about 3mm or so, as the use of the tool size is still too small.
